Looping GIFs – Take 2

So I’ve never made looping GIFs before in Blender, and now I’m hooked.

If you’d like to make these yourself and are quite familiar with blender, here I’ll share my .blend files. I’ve also uploaded them to blendswap and you’ll be able to find them on my profile once they’re approved. This can take a while though so I’m going to start hosting most of my .blends myself on this blog. That’s at least until I manage to become a trusted uploader on blendswap ;).

Here are the two files that I made all of these GIFs with, one for the cube ones and one for the hexagons. The colours of the glowing borders can be changed easily. Also, the hexagon file comes with a few different layers, and one lets you make plain animations (i.e. without a glowing border), which can look nice if you use shiny materials and HDR lighting.

I’m sharing these files under a CC-BY license. You’re free to use, modify and share what you come up with however you like, but please link to this post so others can do the same.

  • Looping GIFs are my favorite to make in blender 🙂

    Keep up the good work!

    • I agree! Have you put anything online that you’ve made?
